I never really know what my characters look like. Honestly – I like to keep them moving fast, not sitting for a portrait. So I was as surprised as anyone when I saw one of my characters on a music video on Youtube.

Thanriel, the seriously gorgeous, angelic alien hero of The Last Gatekeeper, can be found on the video for REM’s Orange Crush. The hair colour is wrong (should be dark, like lacquered mahogany), but otherwise he’s perfect.
